With the advancement of digitalization, we are now in an era where algorithms such as AI deliver us information tailored to our preferences. Accessing information about products and services is also easier than ever. On the other hand, to ensure a safe and secure consumer lifestyle, it is important to understand the underlying mechanisms and risks, and to boost our digital literacy.
With that in mind, the “Consumer Festival 2026” will be held at the Fureai Kenkoukan (Community Wellness Center) on May 23rd (Saturday)!
Internet-related troubles are on the rise, such as “fake e-commerce sites” and “tech support scams” triggered by sudden warning screens popping up on devices.
At this event, there will be a lecture titled “Protect Yourself from Cybercrime! How to Deal with Internet Troubles,” to be presented by an official from the Cyber Strategy Promotion Division of the Tokushima Prefectural Police Headquarters.
Furthermore, there will be educational exhibits and booths selling local specialty products.
