Online Exchange between Tokushima Universities and Overseas Universities on Consumer Education 2021

 In order to further build ”international cooperation in consumer policy” in the post-COVID era, universities in Tokushima and ASEAN countries will be holding online presentations on initiatives and discussions on consumer education and other issues.
 By bringing the sensibilities and wisdom of young people to Tokushima, such inter-university exchanges will promote the prefecture’s ”establishment as an international hub” for consumer policy.

Overview

 The event was held online, connecting the venue with overseas universities, where students took the lead in presenting their initiatives and exchanging opinions after. Through the presentations on ”consumer education,” ”ethical consumption,” and the ”SDGs,” the participants had a broad discussion on what they can do to address consumer issues that are becoming increasingly diverse due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the advancement of the digital society.

Overview

 With the venue and overseas universities connected online, students from each university presented and exchanged opinions on the theme of ”Digital Society and Consumer Awareness.” Based on the discussions at the ”Tokushima International Consumer Forum 2021” held on October 26, 2021, the participants had a wide-ranging future-oriented discussion on their own ”awareness” as consumers in changing consumer lifestyles due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the advancement of the digital society.
