“Safety tips” is a free application that sends push notifications to users about disaster information, such as earthquake early warnings, tsunami warnings, and other weather warnings within Japan.

The app is available in 15 languages: English, traditional and simplified Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, Tagalog, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Nepali, Thai, Khmer, Burmese, Mongolian, and Japanese.

The app provides various functions useful for both foreign tourists and residents of Japan, such as an evacuation flowchart showing actions to be taken in the light of surrounding circumstances, helpful phrases for obtaining information from the people around you, and website links that contain helpful information in the event of a disaster.
