Iya Gorge and the Peeing Boy Statue

The Iya River with emerald green water runs under the deeply cut V-shaped gorge. You just feel dizzy if you look down the gorge at the drop of around 100 meters. A statue of a peeing boy stands on a protruding rock. It was made based on the anecdote that local children and travellers tested their courage there.

The place has been published in the Michelin Guide Book, France and was awarded two stars in March 2009.
