What Is The G20 Summit?

The G20 Summit is an international forum which is convened annually. The participants are heads of state and government from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Republic of Korea, Republic of South Africa, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States of America, and European Union (EU). In addition, leaders of invited guest countries and representatives of invited guest international organizations participate in the summit along with leaders from the G20 countries.

G20 International Conference on Consumer Policy

Tokushima Prefecture, in association with the Consumer Affairs Agency, will be holding the “G20 International Conference on Consumer Policy” on September 5-6, 2019 as a side event of the G20 Osaka Summit. The countries of the G20 and related organizations will discuss solutions to new consumer issues brought about by the rapid development of digitalization, progress of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), and common policy issues between countries. Tokushima Prefecture will take this international meeting as an opportunity to showcase its development of consumer affairs administration, educational measures, and a conductive environment for local consumers; and share its charms with the world.
