Beware of problems with investments in crypto assets triggered by SNS!

There has been a sharp increase in problems with crypto asset investments triggered by social networking services (e.g., Facebook and LINE), reflected in complaints such as “I was urged to invest in crypto assets (virtual currency) investments by someone I met on SNS and transferred a large amount of money in several installments, but I can no longer contact the person concerned and my money has not been refunded.”

「SNSで知り合った人から暗号資産（仮想通貨）の投資を進められ、数回に分けて多額のお金を振り込んだが、相手と連絡が取れなくなり、返金もされない」など、SNS（FacebookやLINE）をきっかけとした暗号資産の投資トラブルが急増しています。

There are many cases where social networking services are used to solicit fraudulent investments. There is no such thing as an investment that is “guaranteed to be profitable.” If you are urged to invest in crypto assets by someone you do not know, do not believe what you are told, and suspect that it may be a scam.

SNSが詐欺的な投資の勧誘に利用されているケースがよくみられます。『必ず儲かる』という投資はありえません。面識のない相手から暗号資産の投資を勧められた際は、うまい話を鵜呑みにせず、まずは詐欺を疑ってください。

Even if you are interested, check to see if the business concerned is registered before trading, and do not trade with unregistered businesses. However, even if the business concerned is registered, its credibility is not guaranteed and there may still be a risk. Always keep in mind that trading crypto assets involves risk.

また、暗号資産交換業者は、金融庁・財務局への登録が必要です。興味があったとしても、取引を行う前に登録業者かどうか確認し、無登録業者とは取引しないようにしましょう。ただし、登録業者であっても、信用性が担保されていたり、リスクがなかったりするわけではありません。暗号資産の取引には、リスクが伴うことを十分理解するようにしましょう。
